As a WPS jersey sponsor, WellStar’s logo appears on the front of both home and away Atlanta Beat game jerseys.

Kennesaw, GA –Hundreds of people and their dogs joined the Atlanta Beat Women’s Professional Soccer players to run in the inaugural A Race to Empower a Bold Community 5k run/walk, a 1 mile fun run/walk, and a 1 mile Dog Run on Saturday, March, 13, 2010 in Kennesaw.
Cobb County Probate Judge Kelli Wolk, served as chair, alongside honorary chair, Debra Johnson of the Atlanta Beat Soccer Foundation for the Empowerment 5K, which benefitted the YWCA of Northwest Georgia, Atlanta Beat Soccer Foundation, and Kennesaw State University.
The winners for the Empowerment 5K were: Men's winner, Robbie Nicholson, Atlanta Beat Assistant Coach wjth a time of 19:32; Women's winner, Katie Charles of Kennesaw with a time of 20:57; Men's Masters winner, John Turner of Canton with a time of 20:40; Women's Masters winner, Christy Miller of Cartersville with a time of 26:43.

Following the evening scrimmage, the team trained twice on Tuesday before heading to Auburn, Alabama where they faced the Auburn Tigers on Wed. March 10th. In this friendly, Atlanta Beat goalkeeper Allison Whitworth defended against her alma matter. In fact, Mami Yamaguchi, Stacy Bishop, No. 1 Draft pick, Tobin Heath all faced their former college clubs.
