Breakers Name Andrew Quinn Goalkeeper Coach

NORWOOD, MA (Jan. 16, 2012) – The Boston Breakers have added Andrew Quinn to the coaching staff. He will serve as the team's new goalkeeper coach.
Quinn joins the Breakers staff for the 2012 season. He is as an assistant coach for the Harvard University men's soccer team. The Former Major League Soccer goalkeeper joined the Harvard coaching staff as a coaching assistant on April 21, 2011. Quinn previously served as a volunteer coach at Georgetown for one season before coming to Harvard. He helped the Hoyas to the program’s first Big East title in 15 years and their first NCAA appearance since 1994.
During his first year in Cambridge, Quinn helped the Crimson earn three shutouts and posted a team goals-against average of 1.51. A member of D.C. United in 2010, Quinn earned a roster spot on the MLS squad despite not being selected in the MLS Draft. Quinn also worked with the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy and was responsible for training all of D.C. United U-16 goalkeepers.
A 2010 graduate from Notre Dame with a degree in psychology and sociology, Quinn started 37 games in goal, posting nine career shutouts and making 119 saves with the Fighting Irish. He was a four-time Big East Academic All-Star and was a member of two Big East regular season championship teams, as well as squads that reached the Elite Eight in 2006 and 2007.
